I heard a thousand blended notes,
While in a grove I sate reclined,
In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts
Bring sad thoughts to the mind.

To her fair works did Nature link
The human soul that through me ran;
And much it grieved my heart to think
What man has made of man.

"Anne," cried Mary, still at her window, "there is Mrs Clay, I am sure, standing under the
colonnade, and a gentleman with her. I saw them turn the corner from Bath Street just
now. They seemed deep in talk. Who is it? Come, and tell me. Good heavens! I recollect.
It is Mr Elliot himself."
"No," cried Anne, quickly, "it cannot be Mr Elliot, I assure you. He was to leave Bath at
nine this morning, and does not come back till to-morrow."
As she spoke, she felt that Captain Wentworth was looking at her, the consciousness of
which vexed and embarrassed her, and made her regret that she had said so much,
simple as it was.
Mary, resenting that she should be supposed not to know her own cousin, began talking
very warmly about the family features, and protesting still more positively that it was Mr
Elliot, calling again upon Anne to come and look for herself, but Anne did not mean to stir,
and tried to be cool and unconcerned. Her distress returned, however, on perceiving
smiles and intelligent glances pass between two or three of the lady visitors, as if they
believed themselves quite in the secret. It was evident that the report concerning her had
spread, and a short pause succeeded, which seemed to ensure that it would now spread
farther.
"Do come, Anne" cried Mary, "come and look yourself. You will be too late if you do not
make haste. They are parting; they are shaking hands. He is turning away. Not know Mr
Elliot, indeed! You seem to have forgot all about Lyme."
To pacify Mary, and perhaps screen her own embarrassment, Anne did move quietly to
the window. She was just in time to ascertain that it really was Mr Elliot, which she had
never believed, before he disappeared on one side, as Mrs Clay walked quickly off on the
other; and checking the surprise which she could not but feel at such an appearance of
friendly conference between two persons of totally opposite interest, she calmly said,
"Yes, it is Mr Elliot, certainly. He has changed his hour of going, I suppose, that is all, or I
may be mistaken, I might not attend;" and walked back to her chair, recomposed, and
with the comfortable hope of having acquitted herself well.

Using information from this unit, write a paragraph (100-200 words) Identifying one way that languages changed through migration

Answers

Answer:

As many people of the same language/culture migrate to another place, they bring with them their own unique culture and traditions. They often merge  the culture of the place they migrate to with their own cultures, languages, and tradition. For example, when many Mexican people moved to states like Texas from Mexico, they combined Texan food with traditional Mexican food, to make food like burritos, nachos, and other Tex-Mex dishes. The same thing happens with language. As people from one country move to another country, they will keep some aspects of their own language, and merge it with some aspects of the language from the place they migrate to. Culture is always changing and evolving, and that's why our world has so many diverse cultures. From Italy, to Brazil, to Egypt, to South Korea, to Vietnam, our world is full of many unique and beautiful cultures and languages.

How do we determine who is the protagonist? Antagonist?

Answers

Answer:Protagonist and antagonist and are nouns that refer to characters in a story.

The protagonist is the main character, often a hero.

The antagonist is the character who opposes the protagonist, often a villain.

Explanation:

Answer:

Protagonist is the character who is usually the “good guy”, while antagonist is the “bad guy”. Antagonists aren’t always bad, but sometimes they are just lost and can’t see what the protagonist sees. And sometimes, the protagonist/antagonist is a bit harder to figure out, since in certain stories they can do good as well as bad things. But the main way I find helpful is by thinking, ‘who is the person who is helpful here?’ Or if that doesn’t help, try, ‘has either one of the characters done a bad thing?’ And sometimes the protagonist will do a bad thing, but for a good reason. So again, it could go either way, but that should usually help you decide.

And when asked for details, he reminded himself of his name, age and the situation he was stuck in. He responded to the radio "My name is Brian Robeson and we left Hampton, New York headed for the Canadian oil fields to visit my father and I do not know how to fly an airplane and the pilot...", stating that he did not know how to fly the two-seater plane. He also tried to ask for help and if anyone can help him fly the plane so that he can safely land or even get free of the skies.

The cashier finally handed them the receipt for the book, and they ran home to begin reading.

Answers

Answer:

As Pete and Malia headed out the door on their way to the convention, they almost forgot the money they would need to get in there.

They were very excited to buy the latest edition of their favorite comic book by their favorite author.

Explanation:

Homophones are words that are pronounced the same way but have different meanings (and sometimes spelling).

In the first sentence, there are two homophones: their and there. Their is a word used to describe that something belongs to them (Pete and Malia's way - their way). There is the opposite of here and means at that place (get into the convention - get in there).

The second pair of homophones is buy and by. To buy is a verb that means to purchase something. By is a preposition used to state who is performing a certain action (a comic book by their favorite author - their favorite author wrote the book they are buying).

Answer:

their,there,buy,by

Answers

Answer:

After the 9-11 Attack, the United States united under a single cause: the fight against terrorism. While this is a good objective, it needs to be achieved in a careful manner, while respecting constitutional principles.

The War on Terror and the Iraq War commited many mistakes, and violated many constitutional principles. For example, the Iraq War was initiated without enough justification. Mass hysteria made it possible for the government to bypass these problems more easily, because it made the American public more complacent.

Once upon a time, a man who went by the name of “the discovered” woke up not feeling so good but decided to ignore it and go by with his day. He looked at his agenda and saw that he didn't have any plans for today, which was weird since he always at least has one thing planned for the day. It took awhile to decide but he chose to go to the desert and try to discover something new. When he got there he saw a lot of animals far away from where he was and just continued walking. After walking for a couple of hours he saw a bigfoot print it was not an animal but a person just ten times bigger than an actual person. While he was trying to see if they left a cule the floor started shaking, it was the animals running towards him. He knew at that moment that he should have stayed home. This all happened in the course of four to five hours it was just like a dream.

The discover was scared but excited at the same time. He didt move and decide to let the animals run toward him. But suddenly the shaking stopped, and the animals disappeared so did the footprint. He was very confused and just looked around to try and prosec what happened. Then it cliked he had a dream two days ago and the exct same thing happend. In his deam everything stared too disaper and he couldent help nobody. He stared to run home to see if it was too late or if he could try and help.
