Answers

Answer 1
example: let’s say this tiny thing is a neutron a subatomic particle like a proton with no charge so it is neutral

1: The setting will be in a nucleus a membrane-bound organelle with chromosomes and contains both neutrons, protons, and electrons

2: The nucleus has its outer and inner membrane and covered with ribosome and the nucleus pores, also in the center of an atom constructing around it. Also is 99.9% of an atoms mass. The sound of the nucleus comes from the subatomic particles which resembles a sound wave the is similar to a cello. The smell of it might be a heavy smell because of how dense it is but it might a be like a strong discharge of protons and electrons which gives off a odor of ozone. The taste might be a sour taste from the protons because the sour taste receptor cells and since the electrons give a discharge it has no taste, and most atoms have a metallic taste to it. The touch of a nucleus might be static feel because of the positive or negative charge and the nucleus will vibrate in the atom.

3: The neutron an uncharged subatomic particle is nearly invisible to a human eye but looks like the proton which kind of just look like a sphere but way smaller, the neutron might sound absolutely quiet due to it has no charge. The smell of an neutron is like the electron as it has no nasal receptors but the decay might cause it to turn into a proton which has nasal receptors so in summary no smell. If it were a human to taste it would just simply go through the body and trying to touch a neutron would be hard as it moves with the protons and electrons.

4:The neutron could face a beta decay when too much amount of protons and neutrons build up which causes it to turn or decay into a electron or proton.

5:Even though the neutron is kinda of a loner it is more friends with the protons since they balance each other out but since the are positively charge they move away from the them, the electrons are not enemies but still are balanced from the neutrons but since they are on the outer membrane of the nucleus so they cannot see them. Kinda of hard to do #5 since I don’t have much time but you can probably make some of it up cause it sounds very fictional.

Hopefully I am not late and if doesn’t help then sorry

What is the best correction for the inappropriate shift in verb tense in this
passage?
Rain pounded against the window, and lightning had been flashing in
the sky. Mia and Zoe huddled under the blankets, watching a movie
and hoping the electricity wouldn't go out.
O A. Change "had been flashing" to "flashed."
B. Change "had been flashing' to 'were flashing."
O C. Change "huddled" to "huddle."
O D. Change "pounded" to "pounding."

Answers

Answer:

A.

Explanation:

As you can notice, the other verbs follow this pattern: The rain pounded against the window and Mia and Zoe huddled under the blankets.

So, it only makes sense to change “had been flashing” to “flashed” to match the verb tense.

A text from the story :-
Down, down, down. Would the fall NEVER come to an end! ‘I wonder how many miles I’ve fallen by this time?’ she said aloud. ‘I must be getting somewhere near the centre of the earth. Let me see: that would be four thousand miles down, I think--’ (for, you see, Alice had learnt several things of this sort in her lessons in the schoolroom, and though this was not a VERY good opportunity for showing off her knowledge, as there was no one to listen to her, still it was good practice to say it over) ‘--yes, that’ s about the right distance--but then I wonder what Latitude or Longitude I’ vet got to?’ (Alice had no idea what Latitude was, or Longitude either, but thought they were nice grand words to say.) Presently she began again. ‘I wonder if I shall fall right THROUGH the earth! How funny it’ all seem to come out among the people that walk with their heads downward! The Antipathies, I think--’ (she was rather glad there WAS no one listening, this time, as it didn’t sound at all the right word) ‘--but I shall have to ask them what the name of the country is, you know.

Please, Ma’ am, is this New Zealand or Australia?’ (and she tried to curtsey as she spoke-- fancy CURTSEYING as you’re falling through the air! Do you think you could manage it?) ‘And what an ignorant little girl she’ all think me for asking! No, it’ all never do to ask: perhaps I shall see it written up somewhere.’ Down, down, down. There was nothing else to do, so Alice soon began talking again. Dinah’ all miss me very much to-night, I should think!’ (Dinah was the cat.) ‘I hope they’ all remember her saucer of milk at tea-time. Dinah my dear! I wish you were down here with me! There are no mice in the air, I’ m afraid, but you might catch a bat, and that’ s very like a mouse, you know. But do cats eat bats, I wonder?’ And here Alice began to get rather sleepy, and went on saying to herself, in a dreamy sort of way, ‘Do cats eat bats? Do cats eat bats?’ and sometimes, ‘Do bats eat cats?’ for, you see, as she couldn’t answer either question, it didn’t much matter which way she put it.

She felt that she was dozing off, and had just begun to dream that she was walking hand in hand with Dinah, and saying to her very earnestly, ‘Now, Dinah, tell me the truth: did you ever eat a bat?’ when suddenly, thump! thump! down she came upon a heap of sticks and dry leaves, and the fall was over. Alice was not a bit hurt, and she jumped up on to her feet in a moment: she looked up, but it was all dark overhead; before her was another long passage, and the White Rabbit was still in sight, hurrying down it.
There was not a moment to be lost: away went Alice like the wind, and was just in time to hear it say, as it turned a corner, ‘Oh my ears and whiskers, how late it’ s getting!’ She was close behind it when she turned to corner, but the Rabbit was no longer to be seen: she found herself in a long, low hall, which was lit up by a row of lamps hanging from the roof.

Most people think of a person lying on the couch reflecting on memories to a doctor when they think of psychology. In fact, psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior. Although psychology was studied as a philosophical subject in ancient civilizations, it began to be studied experimentally in nineteenth-century Germany. German physician Wilhelm Wundt established the first psychology laboratory in 1879. It was Sigmund Freud, the Austrian physician, who made psychology widely popular.
However, psychology is more complex than that and includes many branches. Biological psychology is focused on the study of the biological reasons for human or animal actions. Similarly, clinical psychology is concerned with the treatment of diseases or problems of the mind. While cognitive psychology is about the mental processes or thoughts, behavioral psychology is mostly about the study of behavior. Another interesting branch of psychology is the comparative one: it is mostly limited to the study of animal behavior and mental life. Developmental psychology seeks to understand how people change their behavior as they age. Another important branch is social psychology as it studies human beings in social situations. There are many branches of psychology that study specific fields such as sports, industrial, and educational psychology. Researchers have spent a lot of time studying the mind and behavior of people and animals.
This passage uses classification as a form of organization because
A.
it lists the chronological development of psychology.
B.
it describes the cause and effect of studying the mind.
C.

Back in the day monsters were used to scare or shock them, they were ugly and different. If you look at Frankenstein, he’s deemed a monster or demon for most of the book. The only person to show him kindness was the blind man. In other older books most people fear or want to kill the monsters in the books. But if you look at today’s monsters we have vampires falling in love with humans, werewolves getting with humans. There are still stories where real life monsters like killers and such are made to scare you but not as many fictional monsters.

Essay on the life of pi from tigers point of view

Answers

Answer:

The world has seen all the hardships and struggles, wars and peace, death and births, but no matter the struggle one has to face, no individual comes out being the same as someone else. The two texts, Life of Pi by Yan Martel and Tiger by William Blake contain similar elements of pain and suffering. However, through the symbol of tiger in both texts to represent these elements, the tiger breaks the bond between texts when the realization sets in on how different the tigers truly are. The two texts help highlight the theme of suffering and pain through the use of language and such stylistic features as imagery to help portray the idea of a higher power in both texts. Sensationalism is used to explain the presence and importance of a tiger.

Explanation:

Within the text of, Life of Pi, the narrator, Pi had always been drawn towards the tiger, Richard Parker, throughout his entire childhood, even during hardships. Were Pi’s life was in danger. This can be evident when Pi talks about the importance of the tiger, “ Richard Parker has stayed with me. I’ve never forgotten him. Dare say I miss him? I do. I miss him. I still see him in my dreams. They are nightmares mostly, but nightmares tinged with love. Such is the strangeness of the human heart.” (Y.Martel pg 14). This quotation proves that Pi considers Richard Parker to be part of his family.
