The world has been struck with a pandemic never seen before, the coronavirus. This virus is not only taking a toll on the health of humans it is also taking a toll on the global economy. Due to the pandemic, Morocco has closed its borders. To the fear of the virus affecting Moroccan citizens. Amidst this fear comes to suffer to the Moroccan economy. Due to the fact that a large percentage of Morocco’s economy comes from tourism and interaction. Therefore Morocco should open its borders to tourists and economical activities, with morocco being in the top 5 strongest economical countries in Africa, doing so would lead Morocco to take the lead during the pandemic.

The reason Morocco should open its borders is to gain economy from things such as tourism and entertainment. Tourism itself is a grand 6.7% per cent or of Morocco’s economy, if they do open borders then the Moroccan government would have gained 6.7% which would have been lost if they keep the borders closed. The gain will also help Morocco in the future, during mass infections, unlike if the government keeps the borders closed and a mass infection does occur then Morocco will not be able to cope with the virus in the same course of action. It will also help Moroccan citizens that are unemployed.

How is the song "Welcome to My Life" structured like a poem? Be sure to name at least one poetic sound device used in the song (repetition, alliteration, onomatopoeia, rhyme, rhythm).

Write a response that is 1 to 2 paragraphs long (3 to 5 sentences per paragraph).

Answers

The song "Welcome to my Life," by Simple Plan, is similar to other songs in the sense that it resembles a poem. Songs and poems often sound similar because they use a lot of the same devices. For example:

No you don't know what its like

When nothing feels alright

You don't know what its like to be like me

To be hurt, to feel lost

To be left out in the dark

To be kicked when you're down

To feel like you've been pushed around

To be on the edge of breaking down

And no one there to save you

No you don't know what its like

Welcome to my life

In this song, the author employs the device of repetition. He repeats the phrase "No you don't know what its like" several times. Repetition is often used to emphasize a point or to call attention to a particular subject.

Read these paragraphs from I Never Had It Made.

He not only told me about it, but he acted out the part of a white player charging into me, blaming me for the "accident" and calling me all kinds of foul racial names. He talked about my race, my parents, in language that was almost unendurable.

"They'll taunt and goad you," Mr. Rickey said. "They'll do anything to make you react. They'll try to provoke a race riot in the ballpark. This is the way to prove to the public that a Negro should not be allowed in the major league. This is the way to frighten the fans and make them afraid to attend the games."

What is the author’s purpose for including these paragraphs?

to inform readers about the history of race riots at American ballparks
to inform readers about the challenges Rickey and Robinson expect to face
to persuade readers that all races should be treated equally in American sports
to entertain readers with a story about a fight between Ricky and Robinson

Dru is reading about castles for a class project. A stone built of light-colored stone with several windows and turrets. Medieval castles were built for safety, not comfort. The walls were thick to protect the residents from invaders. Windows were made tall and thin so that soldiers could shoot arrows through the openings. Towers were a common place to watch for approaching enemies. After looking at the photograph and reading the text, which new idea can Dru form about this castle? The tall tower was probably used by soldiers to watch for enemies. The high-pitched roof must have made it easier to protect the castle. This castle was probably very fancy and expensive inside for the residents. The windows in this castle were likely to be targets for attackers.

pounced and hissed commandingly, just as a sudden storm shows its
power with thunder and lightning.

Frosty's fear of humans, which is demonstrated in her aggressive
