Answer 1

Answer:

                                                                                                               April 12th

Dear diary,

Today I had my Maths exam. I am happy because I did well in my exam, and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

Math is a difficult subject for me, especially what the professor tested in this exam, where I had to remember formulas. I was nervous this morning before taking the test. The good thing is that when I saw the exam, I realized that it was just as I have been practicing, and that calmed me down. It seems that my hard work and extra practice help me to make it.

Today I learn that if we set our minds and time, what seems impossible is not.

See you tomorrow!

Explanation:

When we write a diary entry, we should write the date. Then we can start with the phrase "dear diary" or by telling our diary what happened.

The style should be informal since it is very similar to a letter to a friend, but instead of writing to a friend, we write to ourselves or our diary.

Once we have finished writing about our day, thoughts, and plans, we can write a reflection and use a closing phrase such as I will write soon or see you.

B) second person point of view.

C) third person point of view.

D) None of the choices are correct.

Answers

Answer: A im pretty sure

Explanation: most of the stuff he wrote about was from his tragic memories of some illness if I remember correctly

The narrator in Poe's story told readers about events from the first person point of view. Hence option A is correct.

What is point of view?

Point of view is defined as a particular mindset or approach to thinking about something. The reader's interpretation and interaction with the story might be influenced by the author's choice of point of view.  Point of view can be used to communicate the emotions, ideas, drives, and experiences of one or many people.

The narrator is a fictional figure created by the author to tell the tale. It serves as the viewpoint through which the story is told. The narrator is one of the characters in a story recounted in the first person, and they share with us their thoughts and experiences. The most obvious point of view is undoubtedly first person.

Thus, the narrator in Poe's story told readers about events from the first person point of view. Hence option A is correct.

What is your reaction to the following statement? As long as you’re innocent, you have nothing to fear from the court system

Answers

Answer:

My reaction is confused.

Explanation:

I say that because people do get accused of things that they honestly didn't do and still go to jail/prison. Not only that they racketeer charges against people and they also jack the charges up so you go to jail/prison for this exceptionally long time when you did or maybe didn't do a minor crime. HOW are you not supposed to fear the court system after how many innocent people are in there.

[1]Nothing that comes from the desert expresses its extremes better than the unhappy growth of the
tree yuccas.Tormented, thin forests of it stalk drearily in the high mesas, particularly in that
triangular slip that fans out eastward from the meeting of the Sierras and coastwise hills. The
yucca bristles with bayonet-pointed leaves, dull green, growing shaggy with age like an old
[5] man's tangled gray beard, tipped with panicles of foul, greenish blooms. After its death, which is
slow, the ghostly hollow network of its woody skeleton, with hardly power to rot, makes even
the moonlight fearful. But it isn't always this way. Before the yucca has come to flower, while
yet its bloom is a luxurious, creamy, cone-shaped bud of the size of a small cabbage, full of
sugary sap, the Indians twist it deftly out of its fence of daggers and roast the prize for their
[10] own delectation.

Why does the author use the word "prize" to describe the bloom of the yucca tree (line 9)?

To communicate how rare it is to find the bloom
To emphasize the deliciousness of the bloom
To highlight the color and shape of the bloom
To show how to prepare the bloom for eating

i believe it’s personification

The figure of speech used here in the sentence is - Personification.

What is Personification?

We take human traits and construct these metaphors to explain scenes even if, in reality, the sun cannot grin, the leaves cannot dance without legs, and the wind cannot whisper since it lacks a mouth.

We personify non-human entities when we speak about them in the same manner as people. Personification is a type of metaphor in which inanimate objects, abstract concepts, or non-human animals are described in terms of people. It's applied to make scenes or personalities more captivating and fascinating.

Personification gives a dead situation personality, drive, will, and emotion. For instance, the literal description is "The sun rose." The phrase "The sun stretched its golden arms, ascended over the mountains, and smiled down on us" could be more intriguing.
