You and best friend(s) are taking a summer long trip together. “Y’all” have decided to travel and discover all the interesting places and sights of Georgia. You want to see all the major cities, all five physiographic regions, many of the physical features of Georgia, and especially the tourist areas that Georgia has to offer. In the space provided below, you are going to write a journal that describes your entire trip. The journal should be about 1 page Minimum. Now remember, a narrative is simply creative writing that is based on historical facts.

Answers

Answer:

Journal,

Okay, my name is Cornell Kleinl, and I’ll tell you about my trip to Georgia to see my friend Evan Locks who lives in Augusta Georgia. Augusta is located along the banks of the Savannah River, which is located in the Coastal Plains of Georgia. The first night I was there we were so excited it took us until one in the morning to go to sleep. The next day the first place we visited was the Augusta Museum of History. That got me thinking on what coastal plains are, so I did my research on them and found that coastal plains can be found along the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. And there was another question that kept me thinking “What forms Coastal Plains?” and I found the answer I was looking for: Coastal plains can form in two basic ways. Some start as a continental shelf, a flat piece of land located below sea level. When the ocean level falls, the land is exposed, creating a coastal plain. Sometimes, these coastal plains can extend far inland. Now since I was thinking about regions, since the information I found online spiked my interest, I decided to research the regions in Georgia. My friend told me there were 5 regions in Georgia: Coastal Plain, Piedmont, Blue Ridge, Ridge and Valley, and Plateau. Since I have already researched the coastal plains, I decided to give the other four a shot. When I researched Piedmont, I found out that its terrain is very rugged, with rolling hills, complex rock formations, and is 200 to 800 above sea level. When I looked into the geography for Blueridge I found it very similar to Piedmont, it’s terrain is also very rugged but it is the mountains that make it important.  It has weathered peaks varying in elevation from 1,600 to 4,700 feet and harbors spectacular mountain scenery, as well as some of the world's richest biological diversity. The Ridge and Valley features long, parallel ridges overlooking wide, rolling valleys. From the valley floor, the ridges often appear to be mountains, but actually the highest is only approximately 700 feet tall. Elevations within this region range from 700 to 1600 feet above sea level. I found out that the Plateau is situated in the northwestern corner of Georgia and surrounded by the Valley and Ridge region to the south and east, the Appalachian Plateau is the state's smallest physiographic region.

My friend helped me research all this information, it was so much fun since I like Geography. I’m exhausted, tomorrow we’re going to drive to Atlanta.

............................................................................................................................................

Today we were in Atlanta, there were so many places to go, it was really hard to choose. First we went to the Georgia Aquarium, it was unbelievable, there are over 120,000 animals in that aquarium. I saw sharks, stingrays, many different kinds of fish, plus I say dolphins which happen to be my favorite type of animal. You want to know what is even cooler than the aquarium, World of Coca-Cola. There you can see the history of the Coca-Cola Company. I really like soda, especially Coke, so I enjoyed it. We also went to Zoo Atlanta. It has 1,500 animals, I saw some kinds of animals I’ve wanted to see for a long time. It took us 2 hours and 20 minutes to get there so we headed home.

P.S. I forgot, we ate at a restaurant which I think it was called Bones or something, I forgot!

 .......................................................................................................................................

Today we toured a large garden in Atlanta and then we headed to check out the mountain Brasstown Bald, it is 5,000 feet high and it was beautiful, very spectacular. We still have two days to enjoy.

............................................................................................................................................

We checked out another city called Evans, we had fun there but mostly they just showed me around.

P.S I had so much fun in Georgia learning about its history, geography and all its exciting places to visit, I loved it!!!

What are the physical and intellectual effects of bereavement on a person who also is diagnosed with a disease?

Answers

Answer:

Bereavement, while part of everyone's life, is a form of mental stress and as such can affect people greatly. People can find significant declines in their intellectual functions (memory, concentration, reasoning, etc.) and some can even change certain beliefs looking for support. Physical functions are also affected when a person’s mind is under stress, so people can find themselves having troubles sleeping and eating, and suffering from various pains and dizziness. This can affect their existing conditions and worsen their previous diagnoses, making the heal harder.

Explanation:

Bereavement and grief can seriously impact a person’s mental state, and with that, they can affect someone’s body and health.

Besides an obvious state of melancholia and depression in which people can find themselves in times of loss, they might also start being affected intellectually. People can start forgetting things, being confused, and lost. They can change their beliefs in hard times such as that one, especially if they also suffer from the disease. For example, they might try to find comfort in some belief system that offers support or promise of a better life. These belief systems can slow provide a “guide” on how to better the physical state, offer eternal life, or some similar concepts. People who were never prone to these thoughts might find themselves drawn to them in times of excessive sorrow when the material world can’t offer them comfort or answer to their problems.

With a worsened mental state almost always comes the effect on the body. If the person is already sick with the disease, their symptoms might worsen. First, they are more likely not to take proper care of themselves and their body in the time of depression, which will take a toll on their health. Secondly, it is proven that psychological stress affects bodily functioning. One of the most common things affected is sleeping and eating problems, but also headaches, stomachaches, nausea, dizziness, etc. All of these will likely worsen their existing condition, making the progress to health harder.

2. What was the Fugitive Slave Law and what did it state? How did the North and South react to the enforcement of this Law?
I'll give brainliest to the first correct answer

Answers

Answer:

The Fugitive Slave Acts were a pair of federal laws that allowed for the capture and return of runaway enslaved people within the territory of the United States. Enacted by Congress in 1793, the first Fugitive Slave Act authorized local governments to seize and return escapees to their owners and imposed penalties on anyone who aided in their flight. Widespread resistance to the 1793 law led to the passage of the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, which added more provisions regarding runaways and levied even harsher punishments for interfering in their capture. The Fugitive Slave Acts were among the most controversial laws of the early 19th century.

Answer:

The Fugitive Slave Act or Fugitive Slave Law was passed by the United States Congress on September 18, 1850, as part of the Compromise of 1850 between Southern interests in slavery and Northern Free-Soilers. Passed on September 18, 1850 by Congress, The Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 was part of the Compromise of 1850. The act required that slaves be returned to their owners, even if they were in a free state. The act also made the federal government responsible for finding, returning, and trying escaped slaves.

Constantinople is an ancient city in modern-day Turkey that's now known as Istanbul.

Explanation:

First settled in the seventh century B.C., Constantinople developed into a thriving port thanks to its prime geographic location between Europe and Asia and its natural harbor.

The location of Constantinople made it a place where no army could ever invade. Option B is correct.

What is Constantinople?

The capital of the Roman Empire, followed by the Eastern Roman Empire (commonly known as the Byzantine Empire; 330-1204 and 1261-1453), the Latin Empire (1204-1261), and finally the Ottoman Empire (1453–1922), was Constantinople.

Further the Turkish capital then shifted to Ankara after the Turkish War of Independence. The Republic of Turkey's greatest city and financial hub, Istanbul, was formally renamed in 1930. (1923–present).

Additionally, it is the biggest city in Europe. The Golden Horn and the Sea of Marmara lie nearby, which lessened the need for defensive fortifications on the territory surrounding Constantinople.
