Read the following essay excerpt and answer the question that follows:

Excerpt, On the Equality of the Sexes, written in 1790
by Judith Sargent Murray

I answer that every requisite in female economy is easily attained; and, with truth I can add, that when once attained, they require no further mental attention. Nay, while we are pursuing the needle, or the superintendence of the family, I repeat, that our minds are at full liberty for reflection; that imagination may exert itself in full vigor; and that if a just foundation is early laid, our ideas will then be worthy of rational beings. If we were industrious we might easily find time to arrange them upon paper, or should avocations press too hard for such an indulgence, the hours allotted for conversation would at least become more refined and rational.

Should it still be vociferated, "Your domestic employments are sufficient"—I would calmly ask, is it reasonable, that a candidate for immortality, for the joys of heaven, an intelligent being, who is to spend an eternity in contemplating the works of the Deity, should at present be so degraded, as to be allowed no other ideas, than those which are suggested by the mechanism of a pudding, or the sewing the seams of a garment?

Based on the excerpt, to make time to write, women have to be (5 points)

A: economists
B: vigorous
C: worthy
D: industrious

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

D: industrious

Explanation:

In the line "If we were industrious we might easily find time to arrange them upon paper" we can see that the author of the text states that in order to find time to write, women must be industrious, organizing well all the tasks they have, and can then organize thoughts on paper, that is, write them down. The author states that women's minds are very active and that they are fully capable of reasoning and reflecting on many things.

i don’t think age should determine whether you take part in marches and protests becuase children do have views of situations and everyone’s opinion is valid for that matter. children have a brain of their own and are old enough do stand up for their beliefs

I need some free advice. So I am taking a college math class it was not supposed to be online but it is due to the pandemic. My teacher is a great teacher but he is not tech savy. Like WHAT SO EVER. All my math tests are being auto graded but it is giving me 0's because though my answer is right is marking them wrong. My teacher is aware and says he will fix it. Though it has been a few days I have sent two emails about fixing it, every test I take this happens so I am just getting more and more annoyed.
He hasn't responded so what should I do? I can't drop this class because I need these credits. Do I email again? Do I post on a discussion forum for all student to see (I think they relate with me) Do I wait and let my grade plummet even though it shouldn't be? Do I wait for his answer and try staying patient? (Trust me I have been but watching a grad drop horrible lot when it shouldn’t be puts me on edge.)

I had to do this and it’s easy all you have to do is write a story that you think is based on your identity! How does Athene resolve the conflict in the story?

Answers

Answer:The main conflict in this book was that Odysseus can't seem to recognise his own home, Ithaca. This conflict is resolved when Athena disguises herself as a shepherd boy and approaches to tell him that he was actually on his homeland, Ithaca.

Explanation:Hope this helps u out love

Athene resolves the conflict in the story so to place the way in which he was living at that time needs to be confirmed.

What is a conflict?

When a protagonist or the main subject of the narrative is torn between two options for action, there is a conflict. This gives the impression that he is dealing with an internal hallucination. It usually adds a lot to the tale, and the character has to decide how to handle it.

The primary difficulty in just this chapter has been the inability of Odysseus to recognize Ithaca, their own homeland.

Because once Athena visits him dressed as a shepherd child to explain he was indeed at his native Ithaca, the dispute is overcome. This lead him to believe that he took some time to understand the place in which they are present at.

Explanation:

Beneath is the preposition which makes beneath the trees a prepositional phrase.

The air beneath the trees is cool and still is, the  revision below includes a prepositional phrase. Hence, option D is correct.

What is a prepositional phrase?

Prepositional phrases are defined as sentences that contain a preposition and either the object or complement of the preposition. These expressions mostly serve as an adjunct or a modifier to provide more specificity to the statement.

In the previous statement, "in the morning" is a prepositional phrase with the preposition "in," the word "morning" as its object, and the word "the" as its object's modifier. It serves as a modifier for the adjective "cold and still" by acting as an adverbial phrase. Because of the preposition beneath, the phrase "under the trees" is a prepositional phrase.

Thus, option D is correct.
