To what end, do you think, does Marvell couple dissimilar images together in metaphysical conceits? Does Marvell's poetry resolve incongruities? How do his resolutions compare with Donne's?

Answers

Answer 1

While Donne's poem focuses on the spiritual aspect of the relationship, Marvell's poem is more concerned with physicality.

METAPHYSICAL POETRY OF JOHN DONNE AND ANDREW MARVELL :

Metaphysical poetry involves the entire experience of a man, but the insights, learning, and seriousness of the poets implement that the poetry is concerned with significant areas of experience, especially about - love, romance, and sensuousness.

There is little doubt that a large portion of Andrew Marvell's work amply exemplifies the characteristics necessary for a place as one of the foremost Metaphysical poets, and he remains firmly entrenched in the ranks of this group today. His clever application of expanded reasoning, even when dealing with emotions, shows a connection to the Metaphysical poets. You can add his use of puns, which are frequently braided into complex groups, to the list.

Marvell carefully considers his meaning as he shapes his rhythm, much like John Donne and the other Metaphysical poets do. Marvell's enthusiasm for Donne is evident in his writing some poetry that is distinctly Donne-like as well as in the gratuitous full use of one of Donne's poems in a pamphlet he published toward the end of his life. It might be added that Marvell’s prose works, especially his most successful, show the same Metaphysical qualities.

This newly discovered animalism, which is founded on the Seven Commandments for a just society, causes conflict among the dominant animals, the pigs. The injured Snowball walks from the battle covered in blood, saying, "War is war. The only good human being is a dead one." Snowball has made a stand for the sake of animalism (allegorical for communism) and has driven out the humans, supposedly forever. What might the Surrealist art movement be able to teach us about the influence that the past/memories can have on an individual?

Answers

The Surrealists developed a number of unique methods to elicit psychic responses. These included the techniques of grattage and frottage, which Ernst devised to create fragments of images that the viewer would have to complete in their own minds. Other techniques include "exquisite corpse," in which one artist draws a part of the human body, folds the paper to conceal their contribution, and passes it to the next artist, who adds the next part, and so on, until a collective composition is complete.

What do you mean by individual?

Individual refers to a single object or person rather than a sizable group.

Automatic drawing is a spontaneous, uncensored recording of chaotic images that "erupt" into the consciousness of the artist. Additionally, surrealists assembled familiar pieces in strange conjunctions using found artefacts.

They follow the Romantic tradition in emphasising the power of the individual imagination, but unlike their predecessors, they thought that insights might be found in daily life and on the streets. Numerous subsequent groups were influenced by the surrealists' desire to access the unconscious mind as well as their fascination with myth and primitivism.

Based on this excerpt, what can you conclude about Tituba and the Salem Witch Trials of 1692?

Based on the excerpt we can conclude that Tituba was the one who hurt the Paris girls.

During the 1692 Salem witch trials, Tituba was one of the first three people to be accused of being a witch. She accused others while admitting she was a witch. The dates of birth and death of Tituba, also known as Tituba Indian, a slave and servant, are unknown.

One of the most significant characters in the narrative is Tituba, who is the first to come clean to the authorities about her involvement in witchcraft. When the court reporters questioned her about who had injured the girls, she responded that the devil had visited her. She then began to explain everything else she "seen" with him, including black hounds, red cats, and yellow birds. Flashes of light burst through the darkness, and wind races past my window. The thrilling combination of sight and sound conjures up visions of dragons roaring proudly, breathing fire, and soaring across the midnight sky. Dragons first fascinated me when I was a little girl. They have followed me ever since. The magnificent creatures appeared in storybooks I read in the library, paintings I saw in museums, movies I watched in the theater, and the dreams I had in my sleep. By the time I was thirteen, one question consumed me. Determined to discover if dragons could have actually existed, I set out on a quest for facts.2As I started my research, I discovered many skeptics. Scientists presented evidence to show why dragons could not and did not exist. They explained that it would be impossible for dragons to fly because they were too big. They laughed at the idea of dragons breathing fire. They pointed out that no other animal has ever done this. They said that if dragons had lived, someone would have found remains somewhere in the world. No bones about it, there were plenty of logical explanations. It would have been easy for me to accept that the only place dragons ever existed was in the imaginations of those who believed.3I could have given up, but I thought about my grandmother. She always told me that "people who believe that science is the answer to everything are missing out on everything else." With her words in mind, I read more about dragons. I noticed that cultures across the world all described dragons in similar ways. This was odd because they had no way to communicate with each other. I found notes about dragons in old legal papers and in the travel logs of people like Marco Polo. Dragons were also mentioned in the Bible. I saw that the Chinese calendar uses a different animal each year. Dragons are included along with eleven real animals. I began to believe it was a real possibility that all of these people were talking about a creature that actually existed.4With renewed hope that there was some truth to the legends, I looked for new research. I found that some experts disagreed with popular arguments against dragons. They suggested that a dragon could have four stomachs like a cow. If it created stomach gases like birds, it might create enough to lift itself off the ground. This would give it the ability to fly. If it forced out air when diving toward the earth, it might release gases which could ignite into flame. When the animal died, the stomachs would release strong acids that would dissolve its dead body over time. Biologists backed up these ideas with sketches and models based on known animals. Not everyone agreed with these ideas, but many of the things we accept about dinosaurs and other extinct species started the same way.5I doubt we will ever truly know whether dragons existed. There may always be two sides to the fiery debate. Some will say the stories come from active imaginations. Some will believe with all their hearts that the legendary creatures roamed our ancient world. I don't know for certain which side to believe, but the sound and fury of a night like this makes me smile. It rekindles my childhood dreams and keeps the exciting possibility alive.(( I need till tomorrow pls write an effective summary of the story.)) I will give brainliest if it's correct.
