Answers

Answer: c: they wanted all slaves to counts towards a state's population.

Explanation:

When the Constitutional Convention was being held to decide the powers of the Federal Government, Southern delegates wanted enslaved people to be counted as part of the population as it would give their states more bargaining power at the federal level.

They did not however want the enslaved people to be free or have the right to vote, conditions which were objected to by their northern counterparts who then argued that the enslaved people would not be American.

To what extent were the middle ages a time of globalization?
make a well devolope paragrph
Provide thesis answering the question
Discuss one empire that contributed to globalization during the middle ages
Discuss one event that illustrates an interconnected, globalized world during the middle ages
Discuss how globalization continues to evolve and affect us in modern times in ways similar and different to the middle ages.

Answers

Answer:

The Middle Ages at first was a period in which the opposite occurred: half of Europe went from being united under the Roman Empire, to becoming a plethora of small states, often at war with each other.

As the Middle Ages progressed, international trade and globalization began to flourish again. One empire that contributed to this was the Byzantine Empire. Another state (not necessarily an empire) was the Venice Republic, which had trade routes all over the Mediterranean, but also as far as the Middle East, India, and China, thanks to the Silk Road.

In modern times, globalization has taken way more force than in the Middle Ages. All countries of the world engage in international trade (even very closed-off countries like Cuba or North Korea), and this boosts globalization even more in a positive feedback loop that is ever accelerating. Globalization determines the economic decisions of individuals, firms, and governments, and its effects are difficult to predict, but tend to be positive, at least according to most economists.

What are some POSITIVE and NEGATIVE
aspects of the "American System"? (Capitalism,
Democracy)

Answers

One negative aspects of the American system is the way capitalism effects college. For example, if somebody goes to college to be a math teacher, they are required to take other classes that don’t benefit their career. Those classes cost thousands of dollars and even though people can go without those class’s they still have to pay large amounts of money for classes they’ll never need in life. Another negative about the American system is their government. When it comes to democrats or republicans they act like they care about so many issues but fail to fix any of the issues they claim to care so much about. I understand you can’t fix things but you can at least try to make things better. I think a good example of this would be the difference in certain schools. I’ve been to around ten schools and the one thing I can say is that all schools are not treated equally and it has everything to do with money. When it comes to schools with wealthier children the government is more willing to give them money but when it comes to children in poverty it’s like they think ‘their already poor so what’s the point of helping them.’ Although their are a lot of negative aspects it does have a couple of good one. They try to make ways for people in poverty to live better by coming up with housing programs that allow certain people to afford homes. ((I hope this helped you in some way, I’m sorry if I write to much.))

In your opinion, why had unemployment and extreme inflation, and deflation been significantly reduced by the middle of the 1920s?

Answers

During World War I, the federal government

created new agencies to manage the economy

to ensure a successful war effort. When the war

ended, the economic landscape in America changed

suddenly. Government agencies removed their

controls from the economy, and two million

soldiers returned home looking for jobs.

The economy, however, was going into

a postwar slump.

The end of wartime production and controls resulted in a sudden recession in the United

States. Both unemployment and inflation increased significantly in the years immediately

following the war. The rise in unemployment was largely a result of the end of government

orders for war materials and demobilization. Factories laid off workers and the military

discharged two million soldiers. With civilian employment down and a large population

of ex-soldiers looking for jobs, unemployment rose sharply.

Inflation resulted from the end of government controls. People raced to buy goods that had

been rationed, and with demand rising quickly, prices jumped. Businesses also moved to

raise prices that they had been forced to keep low during the war. The combination of

unemployment and inflation plunged the United States into an economic crisis and resulted

in suffering and a rise in labor disturbances.

Three aspects of the Era of Good Feelings.

Answers

Answer:

The Era of Good Feelings refers to the political period of the United States between the presidency of Thomas Jefferson and that of Andrew Jackson, that is, between 1809 and 1829.

During this period, America experienced great economic growth, mainly motivated by the expansion of the country towards the west, which motivated investments as well as the exploitation of new natural resources. The expansion was also the reason to continue with more virulence the wars against the native tribes, as the territory expanded over the territories of these tribes. In addition, during this period the American identity began to take shape, given that after the War of 1812 the country embarked on a period of isolationism and internal development, which made American citizens begin to value their own with greater emphasis over what came from Europe.

Depending on who the books are written by, I think the students could learn a lot from true testimonials or scientific studies backed by research that contain data. The 1920s saw a rise in anti-immigration sentiment. How would you explain the widespread popularity of the anti-immigration position?

Answers

Answer:

The increase in immigrants looking for a job was one of the major factors that stimulated the feeling of anti-immigration with American society.

Explanation:

As a result of intense industrialization in 1920, the USA received a very large increase in the number of immigrants trying to enter the country in search of a better life and a more profitable job. This increase in immigrants generated a strong sense of anti-immigration among the American population, who believed that immigrants were entering the country to steal American jobs, occupy American residences and spread disease to hamper the country's success.

In other words, we can say that the increase in the number of immigrants was what projected the increase in the feeling of anti-immigration.

The 1920s saw a rise in anti-immigration sentiment.

The reason for immigration in America has been different as some came to escape from poverty, war, debt, practice religion, etc.During the 1920s, America was fearful of communist and radical politics. There was an increasing anti-immigration sentiment among Americans as they became fearful of securing their jobs. The immigration act of 1924 limited the number of immigrants coming into the United States. The Ku Klax Klan also emerged in the South as they showed their anti-immigration sentiment.

Therefore we can conclude that the 1920s was a period when America was changing in many different ways socially, politically and economically.

More than anything, "Perseus" shares with readers the inner struggle of a hero who finds that he is perhaps more like his bloodthirsty enemy than he realized. Trace the tone conveyed throughout the poem. How does the tone of the poem help readers better understand Perseus's conflict? How does the poet's choice of words and phrases, in both their denotative and connotative meanings, support this tone and help readers compare and contrast both sides of a hero? Support your writing with specific examples from the text.

Answers

Answer and Explanation:

1. The poem has a raviso tone. This allows the reader to understand that the act of killing takes away the heroism of an individual. That's because Perseus is a hero and is angry after killing Medusa, wanting to kill more people. However, his heroic nature shows that this feeling is wrong and that is why he gets angry, transmitting that irritation to the tone of the poem.

2. The choice of phrases and words for how Perseus was committed to his mission to destroy a dangerous monster, but later his thoughts proved to be conflicting and more accelerated, as this responsibility went up to his head and showed that he had the power to kill , just like Medusa. An example of this conflict, can be seen with the use of oxymoron "serpents torpidly astir."
