Dear Friend's name

How has life been treating you lately, beside your injury?

Anyways,I want to tell you about my trio to Gauteng specifically Johannesburg. It honestly did not start of as well as I'd hoped due to the constant delays, like one hour traffic,a flat tyre and depleting fuel. After all that the only thing the I can say killed me was the long drive to get there.

Once we arrived to Gauteng,I was amazed by the sight of it all, the monuments and the buildings.

I was happy that we were staying at a hotel and it was one of the best that I've heard of. It was Golden Horse and was big and beautiful. We played everywhere, from the casino to the mini games and hit almost every restaurant and clothing shop. I bet my dad thought he would go broke that same day.

After that wild, spending spree day we decided to keep it calm and spend a day at one of the parks to admire the scenery. I honestly enjoyed every moment of that day and wished left. I also wish you would have came with me.

I hope you get better soon so I can take you next time.

Which sentences should be removed or revised to eliminate logical fallacies and improve clarity? Select three options.

sentence 2
sentence 3
sentence 4
sentence 5
sentence 6

Answers

The sentences which must be removed or revised to eliminate logical fallacies and improve clarity are sentences 4, 5, and 6.

Improving logical fallacies and clarity

A logical fallacy is a flawed way of reasoning that ends up invalidating an argument. That is what we have in sentences 4, 5, and 6, where the author of the passage makes statements for which he does not have evidence and then moves on to making more claims based on those statements.

Sentences 4, 5, and 6 also hinder clarity. The author moves from a logical argument in the previous sentences to a less logical one in 4, 5, and. So, it is unclear what he is trying to say.

With the information above in mind, we can choose sentences 4, 5, and 6 as the ones that should be removed or revised.

(1) Fights have been a part of hockey for decades, but should they continue to characterize the sport? (2) For my part, I believe that fighting should not be allowed in hockey. (3) Hockey fights lead to injuries for the players, such as pulled muscles and concussions. (4) Hockey fights are often staged to encourage people to attend the events, and then they set a poor example for fans watching, particularly children. (5) If we let children watch this kind of violence, they will think it is acceptable to act that way at school. (6) These athletes know that children look up to them, and they do not worry about the message their careless fights are teaching.

In "In Another Country," Hemingway contrasts the injuries the men suffered with supposed photographs of how they will improve with the use of the machines.

How does this affect the story?

Answers:
1. The before and after photographs lend credibility to the success the men will achieve if they keep using the machines.

2. Despite the doctors' encouragement for rehabilitation, the men realize that they will never regain the use they once had.

3. The photographs serve as a reminder to the men of what they once had, adding to their feelings of hopelessness and despair.

4. The program at the hospital serves as an interim place for the men to learn how to deal with their injuries before they are sent home.

Answers

Answer: Despite the doctors' encouragement for rehabilitation, the men realize that they will never regain the use they once had.

Explanation: I took the quiz.

This affects the story by the photographs serving as a reminder to the men of what they once had, adding to their feelings of hopelessness and despair. The correct option is 3.

What is the difference between images and photographs?

Any visual object that has undergone computer modification or alteration, or any imagined object built with the aid of a computer. Any image captured using a camera, digital camera, or photocopier is referred to as a photo or photograph.

The use of the before and after photographs in "In Another Country" emphasizes the stark contrast between the men's current physical state and their former physical abilities. This contrast adds to the sense of loss and despair that the men feel, as they are confronted with reminders of what they have lost due to their injuries.

The photographs do not lend credibility to the success of the machines, nor do they suggest that the men will never regain their use, nor do they serve as an interim place for the men to learn how to deal with their injuries before they are sent home. Rather, they serve to deepen the emotional impact of the story by highlighting the physical and emotional toll of war on the soldiers.

Thus, the ideal selection is option 3.
