Chapter 14 summary of the summer of mariposas

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

The girls wake up to the sound of goats. Outside the barn, they see a boy leading a small herd of goats toward them.

The boy introduces himself as Chencho and gives the girls water. Odilia has a bad feeling about him; she feels uneasy.

Chencho offers to lead the girls to Hacienda Dorada, and Odilia tells him that isn't necessary, but the girls end up seeing him again after they leave the barn and begin traveling together.

Chencho leads the girls to an old house that he sleeps in and tells them about his experience with a chupacabra.

Chencho turns into a chupacabra and attacks Pita. The girls blind him by poking out his eye.

They consider killing him but decide to let him go when they realize that it's Chencho

How does Bogan draw on and transform Ovid’s work? What is the impact of this transformation?

Answers

Answer:

Bogan draw on and transform Ovid’s work and the impact of his transformation is discussed below in detail.

Explanation:

Ovid’s experience inspired his way of conversion in Metamorphoses. His work reveals the reality that he experienced in a polytheistic society that praised many gods, and he accused the development of the cosmos to these deities. On the other cards, Kafka’s fiction is concentrated primarily on the conversion of the person. God does not part in the comparison for Gregor in any manner.

The other options are inappropriate narrative point of view. Lets learn more about narrative point of view.

What is a narrative point of view?

Authors do not address us directly in their literary works. They employ an intermediary device known as a narrator. Narrative point of view is the perspective of the narrator. When the narrator tells the story, the narrative is told in the first person.

The narrator in third person limited point of view is separate from the main character but remains close to that character's experience and actions. The reader is not privy to anything that the character is not, nor is the reader allowed to witness any plot events when the main character is not present.

Therefore, this excerpt uses the third person point of view to lists the events of a boy's day.

Owl would hunt at night and sleep during the day. She would get very cranky if anyone or anything made any noise during the day and disturbed her sleep. One day, she was just about to fall asleep when she heard a cricket chirping. She hooted at the cricket to keep quiet, but the cricket chirped back that it had no intention of stopping. Owl then said to the cricket, "Well, if you won't be quiet, then I may as well try and enjoy your beautiful chirping song. Why don't you hop up here and chirp your tune closer to me so that I might hear it better." The cricket was flattered by the compliment and hopped all the way up the tree to sing and chirp right next to Owl. As soon as the grasshopper drew near, Owl snapped the grasshopper up in her beak and swallowed the grasshopper whole.

Can I have a paragraph about and your feelings of warriors#1 into the wild don’t take it from google don’t play games this is timed soo help please

Answers

Answer:

I feel like Warriors: Into the Wild was probably one of the best books in that series, and the writing style is so much more different than the newer books that come out now. From what I remember, since it's been years since I last read Warriors, it introduces the first couple of important characters through what they look like and then a piece of dialogue that reveals their personalities.

The action and violence in it, for me, was just enough. Perfect amount of detail to keep up with the what's-goings-on and enough to keep track of your favorite characters.

However, in some of the later books, as you read on, the writers (yes, Erin Hunter is not one person, but six different people), have made some errors in the "Warrior Cats History", if you will, with issues like some inbreeding, younger characters falling in love with older characters, details about pregnancy, and so on.

As you read this passage from Henry David Thoreau's Walden, try to identify the literary devices used to make the main point of the passage. I perceive that we inhabitants of New England live this mean life that we do because our vision does not penetrate the surface of things. We think that that is which appears to be. If a man should walk through this town and see only the reality, where, think you, would the "Mill-dam" go to? If he should give us an account of the realities he beheld there, we should not recognize the place in his description. Look at a meeting-house, or a court-house, or a jail, or a shop, or a dwelling-house, and say what that thing really is before a true gaze, and they would all go to pieces in your account of them.

What device does Thoreau use in this passage?

a.) rhetorical question

b.) extended analogy

c.) figurative language

Answers

Answer:

a.) rhetorical question

Explanation:

From the given passage, the device that Thoreau uses in this passage is rhetorical question.

Thoreau used rhetorical question in the passage to ask some questions for effect as they do not have answers. He compares reality with what the people PERCEIVE as their reality.
