A) FADH2 B) ATP C) H2O D) acetic acid E) NADH

Answers

Answer 1

During the synthesis of acetyl-CoA from pyruvic acid, (E) NADH is produced.

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide + Hydrogen is known as NADH. It occurs naturally in the body and aids in the production of energy. The body produces NADH, which is used in the production of energy. Blood pressure may change and other consequences may result from taking NADH supplements.

There is no solid scientific evidence to support the use of NADH for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), and a number of other illnesses. Niacin, niacinamide, and nicotinamide riboside should not be confused with NADH. These are not interchangeable.

the ecological footprint of a large city is ________ than/as the surrounding rural area.

Answers

A large metropolis has a substantially larger ecological footprint than or equal to the nearby rural area.

The Ecological Footprint calculates the total productive areas for which a population, a person, or a product competes on the demand side. It gauges the ecological resources needed by a particular population or product to produce the natural resources it consumes (such as plant-based food and fibre products, livestock and fish products, timber and other forest products, and space for urban infrastructure), as well as to absorb its waste, particularly carbon emissions.

The usage of productive surface areas is monitored via the ecological footprint. These areas typically include: cropland, grazing land, fishing grounds, developed land, forest area, and land with high carbon demand.

Aerobic exercise such as running, swimming, cycling, or rowing is most likely to improve muscular endurance.

Aerobic exercise is any type of physical activity that increases the body's demand for oxygen. This type of exercise is beneficial for improving muscular endurance because it increases the body's ability to use oxygen more efficiently.

When the body is able to use oxygen more efficiently, it can work for longer periods of time without becoming fatigued. Additionally, aerobic exercise helps to increase the body's capacity for storing energy in the form of glycogen, which can be used to fuel muscles during exercise.

This helps to improve muscular endurance by allowing the muscles to work for longer periods of time without becoming fatigued. Finally, aerobic exercise helps to increase the body's ability to remove lactic acid from the muscles, which can help to reduce fatigue and improve muscular endurance.

What was significant about the election of 1876 and Rutherford B Hayes?

One of the most contentious presidential elections in American history took place. Republicans and Democrats engaged in negotiations to find a solution, and the result was the Compromise of 1877. The House and Senate performed the electoral vote count on March 2, 1877, therefore recognizing Hayes as the victor of the presidency.

Despite Tilden winning the popular vote, Hayes won the election because he received 20 of the 30 electoral votes that were up for grabs. The vote, which was decided by 8 republicans and 7 democrats, was 8 to 7 in favor of Hayes. Democratic Tilden defeated Republican Hayes in the popular vote in the 1876 election, which the party won with 1 electoral vote. 1. To calculate the slope of the ground surface on either side of Jim's Gas Station, an elevation survey would have to be taken to determine the change in elevation in relation to the distance traveled. This can be done with a topographic map or an altimeter.

What is topographic map?

A topographic map is a type of map that uses contour lines to show the shape of the land and its features.

2. The slope of the water table at Jim's Gas Station can be estimated by measuring the depth of the water table in relation to the topography of the land in the area. This can be done by measuring the depth of the water table at various points around the gas station and then plotting them to see how the depth of the water table changes with respect to the topography.

3. The direction of the pollution plume can be inferred by looking at the slope of the ground surface and water table. If the ground surface slopes downward away from the gas station, the pollution plume is likely to move in the same direction.

4. The houses and bodies of water that are threatened by this pollution plume are those that are located downhill from the gas station. The further downhill the houses and bodies of water are, the more likely they are to be affected by the pollution plume.

5. The path of the pollution plume at Jim's Gas Station can be predicted by looking at the slope of the ground surface and water table. This is because the pollution plume will move in the direction of the downward slope of the ground surface and water table. Do muscular strength and body mass increase at the same rate?

Answers

No, muscular strength and body mass do not increase at the same rate. The force a muscle can generate in opposition to a resistance is a measure of muscular strength. Body mass is determined by the total amount of fat, muscle, and bone within an individual’s body.

Muscular strength can increase at a much faster rate than body mass. This is mainly due to the fact that muscles can be trained and strengthened much quicker than fat and bone can be added. For example, a person can lift weights and build muscle strength in a matter of weeks, while it can take months to build body mass.

In addition, muscular strength can increase without an increase in body mass. An individual can use resistance training to increase their muscular strength without necessarily increasing their overall body mass.

Answers

C. People with two copies of the mutated gene have sickle-cell anemia. People with one copy of the mutated gene have healthy red blood cells.

Sickle-cell anemia is a genetic disorder caused by a mutation in the HBB gene, which provides instructions for making a protein called beta globin. Beta globin is a component of hemoglobin, a protein found in red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout the body. The sickle-cell mutation changes the shape of the beta globin protein, leading to the production of abnormal hemoglobin called hemoglobin S.

People with two copies of the mutated gene (homozygotes) have sickle-cell anemia because they produce mostly abnormal hemoglobin S. This can cause their red blood cells to become rigid, sticky, and crescent-shaped, leading to various health problems, including anemia, infections, and organ damage.

People with one copy of the mutated gene (heterozygotes) have both normal and abnormal hemoglobin. This is known as codominance. They do not have sickle-cell anemia because they produce enough normal hemoglobin to maintain normal red blood cell function. However, they are carriers of the disease, meaning that they can pass the mutated gene on to their children.
