what sort of a man is samuel hamilton? how does the writer show what sort of man samuel hamilton is?

Answers

Answer:As the gentle, selfless patriarch of the Hamilton family, Samuel stands in sharp contrast to Cyrus, the dishonest patriarch of the Trask family. Whereas Cyrus introduces a legacy of sin into his family by passing down a stolen inheritance, the good-natured Samuel—who, notably, never is wealthy—passes down an inheritance of close familial love and devotion. Like the biblical Samuel, who was a prophet, Samuel Hamilton displays intuition and foresight and often tells Adam Trask truths that are difficult to hear. Samuel sees through Cathy immediately and is chilled by her inhumanity and Adam’s ignorance of it. After the twins are born and Cathy flees, Samuel counsels Adam and helps him overcome his melancholy. Although Samuel is not a violent man, he reluctantly resorts to force in order to jolt Adam out of his stupor and to convince Adam to give the boys names, which they go without for more than a year. Later, shortly before he dies of old age, Samuel tells Adam the difficult truth that Cathy is still living in Salinas and working at a brothel. Although this revelation causes Adam pain, it ultimately enables him to confront the reality of Cathy’s evil and escape from her power.

The author’s purpose in Solar-Powered Public Buildings is effective, because the author reveals the significant costs of readying California’s public buildings to run on solar power.

What is Solar power?

We define solar power as the process of turning solar energy directly into electricity through photovoltaics (PV), indirectly through concentrated solar power, or a mix of both.

Photovoltaic cells use the photovoltaic effect to turn light into an electric current.

A vast area of sunlight is focused to a hot spot by concentrated solar power systems using lenses or mirrors and solar tracking devices, frequently to power a steam turbine.

What is Cost?

Cost is the worth of money that has been expended to produce something or provide a service and is therefore no longer accessible for use, to put it simply.

In business terminology, a cost may be an acquisition cost, in which case the cost is the sum of the money spent to obtain it.

Hence, option C is correct.

The masquerade ball, in "The
Masque of the Red Death," is
a "masked" affair, symbolic of
A. people's love to dress up as somebody
else.
B. how shy people are about showing
their real faces.
C. that which is concealed, which is not
real.

Answers

Answer:

C

Explanation:

The best choice would be c because the masque of the red death is about how all the fancy people went to a party to escape the fate that only the poor suffered, "the red death." What they thought they could escape ended up killing the host of the party. It can't be A or B because I feel like they could care less whether or not people knew they were rich and they would show it off. Best answer is C because a mystery figure comes in wearing a mask like all the others, and takes the host to the scarlett or dark red room where he dies. With C they all where masks as to show that they are all having fun and none of this red death stuff actually exists giving off the idea, "that which is concealed, which is not real."

Over the last three decades, servant leadership has risen from a noble and ethical leadership ideology stuck in religious worldviews to the very principles of how the most successful companies on the planet operate and profit.

Yet, if you're not sufficiently informed of its modern day behaviors and practices as espoused by leading authors, thought-leaders, and scholars, a false perception may lead you astray. Typically, what you think servant leadership is...is usually the opposite of what it truly is.

Take a cue from the world's top brands. They have grasped the immense power that is generated from putting people (employees) ahead of profits through shared values like authenticity, entrepreneurship, freedom and ownership, community, and collaboration. And servant leaders, naturally, have leveraged this emotional currency as the only sustainable model for the future of work.

It is clear that these wildly successful companies--some of which are regularly featured in Fortune magazine's annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" list for having high trust, high employee engagement, and low turnover--are guided by visionary leaders who walk the talk of servant leadership.

The Chosen 10

As I researched the most relevant CEO's to compile into a Top 10 servant leadership list, my biggest challenge was narrowing it down to just 10! Truth is, they are all relevant; they've all made a positive impact on business, society, and the future of work.

my assignment was to write 3-4 paragraphs how did I do so far?
For a few years, the whole world has been suffering from a increase in temperatures; Climate Change, has
parents worrying if their child will have another heat stroke due to the rise in temperature. These past few years,
have been the hottest known years by far. Not only is Climate Change affecting friends, family, and loved ones, it
affects wildlife as well. Sea creatures and all known wildlife are dying, becoming extinct and lowering in numbers,
due to the overheating of the ocean. They are losing there only place to live.
So who or what is the cause of these fatal changes? It is our own actions. Our need for replaceable things like
plastic is the cause; this plastic ruins our air and is being dumped into the ocean, killing all ocean life an example
of this is Six pack rings or six pack yokes are a set of connected plastic rings that are used in multi-packs of
beverage, particularly six packs of beverage cans these can get around any animals head and choke them or they
can accidentally eat then and choke as well. We go to industries asking for harmful things that hurt and change
our earth, takes hundreds of years to break down, and puts harmful chemicals into out air. People ask for
everyday things like plastic straws, plastic cups and plastic bags, when we can easily replace these things with
more Eco-friendly things. We can instead use glass cups, cloth bags or metal straws.
If we continue using these harmful materiel, the sea will continue to die, the planet will continue to get hotter and
hotter because of these chemicals we put into the air, while trying to make plastic, and humanity will cease to
exist. If we destroy this planet, how will humanity continue its existence? There is not where to flee to once we
destroy this planet, since earth is the only habitable planet in our galaxy. Even if there was another planet, we will
never learn from our mistakes, we will destroy the next planet. We need to start now, limit your use of plastic,
because we are destroying our only home.
