Older people's rights are not being seen by the government, in fact older people’s rights are almost invisible. And there are only a few people that try to help the older people. The Human Rights Watch has a very interesting article about how older people’s rights are supposed to be equal as everyone else, in fact the government is not treating them that way.
Older people 60 and over around the world are living in low or middle income countries, with a large amount in the Asia pacific region. And we only have some social service workers looking to seek the elderly and help them live with dignity.
There should be more people trying to support the elderly because after all they are wiser. Besides we are all equal and should support each other. If we all took the time to serve or help older people they would be not living in nursing homes they would be living in their own homes. And they would be able to be with family instead of them being treated unfairly in nursing homes.
